In 2005, a script for a film adaptation of Halo was written by Alex Garland[105]—which D. B. Weiss and Josh Olson rewrote during 2006[106][107]—for a 2008 release. The movie was to be developed and released by 20th Century Fox, under the creative oversight of Microsoft.[108] Peter Jackson was slated to be the executive producer,[109] with Neill Blomkamp as director. Before Blomkamp signed on, Guillermo del Toro was in negotiations to direct.[110]
The crew stopped and resumed preproduction of the film several times.[111] Blomkamp declared the project dead in late 2007,[112] but Jackson replied that the film would still be made.[113] Blomkamp and Jackson collaborated on District 9, but the director told /Film that he was no longer considering working on a Halo film if the opportunity arose,[114] saying that after working on the film for five months before the project’s collapse it would be difficult to return.
The rights for the film have since reverted back to Microsoft.[115] Blomkamp commented that the Master Chief worked from a video gamer’s perspective, but dramatically does not hold much weight because of his faceless nature. The character as depicted in the film would have been “the most important supporting cast member”. Instead, “other characters around him [...] did most of the emotional heavy lifting”, with their story exploring their perception of the Master Chief.[116]
After Jackson’s project stalled, Stuart Beattie wrote a film adaptation of The Fall of Reach, complete with concept art.[117] O’Connor has stated that the movie will be made at some point.[118]

Given that the IMDB USA Working Title for the movie is the Fall of Reach, I imagine the focus will be on the making of John, from boyhood through training and the introduction of the covenant.

no the Spartan IIs can bacause they use SPI suits instead of Mjolinir armour because its cheaper. and SPI has invisibility.

I think that if they made a movie they should keep master cheif’s face a secret couse it would just ruin it if they showd it.
If or when a Halo movie is made, I hope that Master Chief is humanized. Having him as an emotionaly detached faceless hero is OK in the games, but we need a hero who seems human, vunerable, and has FEELINGS to an extent. We need a hero who seems like he really can fail at any moment. That said, he shouldn’t be turned into a whimp either.

nope its been canceled about one or two years ago…. i know GAYYY !! but peter jackson did stick it to microsoft for cuting off production by continuiing to make a sci-fi movie with the same crew that was supposed to work on halo. tha movie was called district 9 it was FKN AWSOME and if u saw it u know how cool the halo movie would have been so FUCK U MICROSOFT!! p.s. if u saw district 9 u will notice at the end in 1 scene they shoot him with a sniper…… that was a halo sniper
what the fuck? that wouldnt be like Call of Duty AT ALL. the only thing i mentiond that Call of Duty has is prone and sprint. Call of Duty doesnt have cover, diving. i ahte when people say “it would be like Call of Duty” i have heard that so much. and its never true. and Halo isnt that unique anymore. its too plain now. its still fun and i love the story. but the weapons and vehicles and sutff are relaly plain

well i dont think its going to be unlockable perks like in cod, but you can choose different classes before the game and you have that perk until you die and you can re-choose. for instance i heard that the girl will be able to sprint, and i think the guy with the skull helmet will be able to turn invisible on command. So i think it will be more like Team fortress two then cod. but again these are just roomers and may not be true
halo is the most unique 1st person shooter game ever created if u could do the stuff you are saying they would be making a futuristic call of duty (don’t want to do that )
i hope they keep the same play style from halo 3 to halo reach, and i hope they don’t have perks. whats cool about halo is unlike call of duty u dont have to unlock weapons to use them and don’t have different perks so you all have the same advantage
well odst only added one new weapon because it was titled as a add on (even though it was 60 bucks) I agree with you though about adding new things and i have no doubt that Reach will have many new weapons and vehicles to play around with. I also heard that they will have perks! but im not positive about that
yea.but Halo needs to step it up sorda. they didnt change that much from Halo 3 to Halo ODST. only 1 new weapon. and the gameplay is too simple i think. althoug htis fun and i love the story they need something new. like i think they should make new wepaons, new gernades, new vehicles, new aliens to fight, new abilities (such as diving to get away from gernades, rockets, gun fire). getting into cover, prone,sprinting. they just need soemthing to give it a little bit of uniquness again.
ya thats prty costly but with its number of fans around the world then thatl probably ball up more money that it actualy cost them assuming they chose good actors and the special efekts r gud or if the fans actualy want the film

Well Genesis name was at first “G”ackt, in DC it was called G project, G was the secret character at the secret ending, and the character behind the formation of the WRO, in the credits of DC it said “G” project, and later “G”ackt project so the original name of Genesis is actually Gackt.

to get the secret ending, you have to find the three ‘G’ reports and beat the whole game (on any difficultly level).

gackt also wore a very similar costume in his redemption music video if not the very same costume hes wearing here. as did his bandmates.

actually thats the costume for the character G as known in the game dirge of cerberus and he was cg’d in the game i beleive. i know i saw the secret ending where he appaeared to be cg’d. the cahracters actuall name is Genesis and will be an important character in final fantasy 7 crisis core.
